Our facilities

Our purpose-built VILLAGE HALL opened in December 2015. The Pavilion, Playing Field and Tennis Court are situated at HEADLANDS, half a mile outside of the village, and are currently available for hire.

There is easy pedestrian access to the VILLAGE HALL from the centre of the village and the picturesque 14th century parish church of St. Peter and St. Paul. There are two public houses in the village. The hall has its own 22 space car park with two bays for blue badge  parking. For large events additional parking can be arranged.

All areas in the VILLAGE HALL have underfloor heating. The MAIN HALL  has a beech wooden sprung sports floor to British Standards 7004 Part 4. THE BEACON ROOM and all other areas have vinyl Polysafe flooring. The building is wheelchair accessible and is fully compliant with equality legislation for public buildings.

The hall is heated throughout from two air source heat pumps and is built to a high standard of insulation. There are 84 photovoltaic panels on the roof and the building is self-sufficient in electricity.

For large events such as weddings or produce and craft fairs there are spaces for two 12m x 6m marquees in the landscaped grounds in front of the hall.

Our facilities include accessible parking spaces, one accessible toilet and door plates in braille.
